An ancient Nerubian ziggurat, Naxxramas was torn free from the ground by agents of the Lich King to serve as Kel'Thuzad's base of operations as he spreads the plague throughout Lordaeron. Other sources say Obrahiim the Traveler - a great skeletal architect - was pivotal in the conception of Naxxramas, hinting that it was altered or retooled.
Fighting a war against the Scarlet Crusade, the Argent Dawn, the Forsaken and the Alliance, as well as constant incursions of adventurers from every race and nation into the Scourge-controlled Plaguelands on a daily basis, the forces of Kel'Thuzad are severely taxed to maintain the security of his necropolis. The gates of Naxxramas are open, and as Kel'Thuzad's forces assault Wintergarde Keep, they leave their defenses exposed.

Amidst a whirlwind media circus, Blizzard has applied for exclusive rights to "Cataclysm," making it sound very much like Sargeras may be making his debut in Azeroth, late next year. Will this be the beginning of the end of Azeroth as we know it? Will we end up playing in a land that looks more like the Outlands of Draenor? Blizzard officials are giving up nothing, but the rash of coincidence is compelling.
- Architect of Hope - The Knights of Thalanaar
The introduction of new raids and new tasks in preparation for the coming of the Lich King has guilds scurrying to enter Ulduar, recruiting even from other servers. Fear that achievements and their spoils will rapidly become unavailable in the coming season, those with the means are raiding harder than usual, and those trying to reach the raids are facing the very real decision, whether to stick with their guild that can do it "with time," or risk changing their banners for a shot at doing it "now." Members here are no different, and it's something that has officers and members of Thalanaar looking very carefully at the raiding schedule we offer, and seeking a good way to expand into new content while remaining true to our goal to provide quality roleplay and the family experience.
